Counseling and Human Development Services

Welcome to Counseling and Human Development Services Programs (CHDS) at Kent State University. CHDS is housed in the College and Graduate School of Education, Health, and Human Services (EHHS) and is a part of the Adult Counseling, Health, and Vocational Education (ACHVE) department.

The CHDS Program offers two master's (M.Ed.) degrees (Community Counseling and School Counseling) and a doctoral (Ph.D.) program in Counseling and Human Development Services. All three programs are accredited by the Council for Accreditation of Counseling and Related Educational Programs (CACREP). The CHDS also offers an Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) degree as well.

Please feel free to browse our website and contact us if you have any questions or comments.

This picture is of several CHDS students and faculty that showed their pride by taking part in a KSU tradition: painting the "spirit rock". Notice the "CHDS Rulz" on the rock!
