Membership in Chi Sigma Iota is open to current students in the CHDS program who have earned at least 10 credit hours and maintained a 3.5 grade point average. Students can become members 24/7, once they have met the above criteria. Invitations to join are generally sent to students during the spring semester during our membership drive. All new members, regardless of when they join, are then inducted during the Induction Banquet held once per year in March or April.
We welcome and encourage all CHDS students to participate in the activities and functions we sponsor. If you wish to become more involved, have questions, or contributions, do not hesitate to contact any of the officers or faculty advisors!
Please be aware you will need the following information to fill out the on-line registration form:
1) Your credit card – First year membership dues are $35
2) CSI Chapter Faculty Advisor - Dr. Rainey
3) Local chapter name – Kappa Sigma Upsilon
4) University – Kent State University
5) The number of degree credit hours you have completed
6) Your current GPA
7) Expected graduation date
8) CACREP Program - Yes
9) CORE Program - No
