Kappa Sigma Upsilon Chapter: Coffee Talk

Coffee Talk KSU Master's Mentoring Program

The Kappa Sigma Upsilon Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota invites you to participate in the Coffee Talk Mentoring Program. You do not need to be a member of CSI as a mentor or protégé to participate. Through the Coffee Talk Mentoring Program, protégés will be matched with mentors to assist with questions related to participating in the KSU CHDS counseling program as well as becoming a counseling professional.

Who are the protégés? KSU Master’s Students in the CHDS program

Who are the mentors? KSU CHDS Master’s Students who are currently in Internship and KSU Doctoral Students

What would I be expected to do as a protégé or mentor? There are no mandatory meetings to attend when you become involved in the program. We will have "Meet 'n Greet" opportunities, but you are not required to attend. Each pair will determine their communication strategy and style. It is expected that e-mail will be commonly used in all pairings. Please view the Coffee Talk Manual found below to get the relationship started.

Why would I want to get involved with Coffee Talk as a protégé? Coffee Talk assists protégés in acclimation to the KSU CHDS Master’s Program as well as entry into the field as a counseling professional upon graduation.

Why would I want to get involved with Coffee Talk as a mentor? Coffee Talk assists mentors in sharing knowledge and strategies that can be used to navigate the KSU CHDS Master’s Counseling Program as well as promote the protégés development as a counseling professional. It is an act of generativity.
