President: Stephanie Burns, M.Ed., LPC, NCC, CDCA
Stephanie Burns is currently a doctoral student in the Counseling and Human Development Services program at Kent State University and is a Research Assistant to Dr. Mark Savickas at NEOUCOM. She earned a M.Ed. in Community Counseling from Kent State University and has been active in the Kappa Sigma Upsilon Chapter for five years. Currently, she is a CSI Fellow, NCDA Leadership Academy participant, webmaster and listserv manager for both the Ohio Counseling Association and the North Central Ohio Counseling Association.

President-Elect: Amanda Brace, M.Ed., LSC

Past President: Michelle Gimenez Hinkle, M.A., P.C.
Michelle is a third year doctoral student in Counselor Education and Supervision at Kent State University. Michelle earned her MA in Counseling at East Tennessee State University and is a licensed professional counselor in the state of Ohio. This is her third year of active membership in Kappa Sigma Upsilon, and she has been proud to represent the chapter at various conferences and functions throughout this time. Michelle recently received a 2008 CSI International Fellowship and is looking forward to serve CSI at a local and national level through this leadership opportunity. In addition to involvement with CSI, Michelle also has active membership in ACA, ACES, and OCA.

Secretary: Tilisha Lancaster
Tilisha Lancaster is first year doctoral student in the Counseling and Human Development Services program at Kent State University. She also earned her M.Ed. in Community Counseling at Kent State. She has been involved with in the Kappa Sigma Upsilon Chapter of Chi Sigma Iota, namely the social committee, for three years. She is a receipent of the 2009 Judith DeTrude Professional Recognition Award. In addition to serving with CSI, she is actively involved in her community as a mentor for college students attending Kent State that earned their GED and as a crisis helpline volunteer at Townhall 2 in the City of Kent. She also holds active memberships with ACA and OCA, both with active participation in many divisions.

The individual is responsible for capturing the highlights of the chapter events, activities, and programs by, but not limited to taking pictures, gathering testimonials, and other memorabilia.

Responsible for organizing events that focus on assisting community agencies over a variety of domains.

Fundraising: Chad Yates, Tom Lennon
Responsible for creating and planning fundraising activities to help financially support the Kappa Sigma Upsilon chapter as well as the counseling students at Kent State University and professionals in the community.

General Service Committee:
Consisting of individuals who want to help when an extra hand is needed with various events, activities, and programs.

Newsletter: Brent Kantaras, Editor; Steven Hido
Responsible for creating one newsletter a semester that will serve as communication with Kappa Sigma Upsilon members and will include messages from executive officers and committee chairs, upcoming events, celebration of student scholarship, and other relevant issues.

Responsible for organizing and planning events that promote professional development in the counseling profession such as the Symposium on Supervision.

Publicity Committee: Jen Yensel, Semone Danage, Rachel Vitale
Responsible for creating and circulating advertisements to promote upcoming events.

Social Committee: Co-Chair Tilisha Lancaster, Co-Chair Anne Shick - Terra Howell, Salina DuBose, Melissa Adams, Kristen Boylan, Kristi Baden
Responsible for organizing and planning events that allow Chi Sigma Iota members and students the opportunity to network and connect such as the annual initiation banquet.

Awards Committee: Chair, Amanda Brace
Responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing an effective awards program which will provide the opportunity for leadership development and recognition of excellence among chapter members.

Web Master: Stephanie Burns
Responsible for maintaining the Kappa Sigma Iota chapter website to CSI International standards.

Counseling students with 10 or more credit hours and a minimum GPA of 3.5 are eligible to become a CSI member. Contact Stephanie Burns if interested.
